We have a redcurrant bush in the garden which I have always taken for granted. Not sure why but I have noticed this year how delicate the flowers are. Each bulging bud produces these pretty little flowers. Irresistible...if you like that sort of thing.

Your small aperture and black b/g have worked so well to capture fine detail throughout and show off the flowering stem to perfection: I do like the black b.g for this sort of image, Andrew.

Thank you both for you comments. I use a large dark card or cloth for the bg, simply to remove the distractions. I like to capture shots in their natural environment but the rubbish behind this one would have killed it dead!
