you can only get so close to these colourful little birds..they get very twitchy Grin

Tringa totanus

Quote: Redshanks breed in damp places like saltmarshes, flood meadows and around lakes, but during winter you'll see lots more of them on estuaries and coastal lagoons as many as half of these birds may be from Iceland. The greatest concentrations of breeding birds are in parts of Scotland and north-west England.

Hi Jeff nicely caught but had to just get in a little closer, a little sharper with a tad of colour, with my Mod, sure that the original will allow a crisper shot your end too. Thanks for sharing, I really must get out more...Chen.

Colourful orange tights, Jeff! Obviously a fashion-conscious bird!

Well captured.

Cracking shot !!!.....lovely 'environmental' bird-portrait !!!!!

Did a simple mod. to add a bit more emphasis on the bird, with a slight 'pictorial' feel....regards....Keith.
