The top level of Castel Sant' Angelo's circular tower is quite varied as you walk all the way round. V4 in my previous upload 'Inside the Castle' shows a covered section with decorated roof; here round the other side is the café area, covered over with vines, where I stopped for a rest and some liquid refreshment. It offers fine views looking out over the Tiber and St Peters. Each shot was taken from the same spot, looking in opposite directions from the table I was sat at.
Single Raw images processed in Adobe Camera Raw, tweaked in Photomatix Pro and Photoshop Elements 11.
Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging.

Away from the hustle and bustle of Roman street life. Lovely detail, Trev and a great place to re-charge the batteries.

It could almost be another world!
Definitely a place to be.

Lovely engaging, inviting composition - and a teeshirt that coordinates perfectly with the table linen...
The vines were planted to create shade from the sun. It must be nice to have such a need...
