Very nice portrait. Good pose and contrasting tones. The loose hair across her face detracts a bit, but not enough to stop giving it a *click*

I do like the pose, but you've got to be careful that the expression doesn't come across as 'I'm bored' which this nearly does.

Also [and this really is minor] there is a distracting bit of white - which I'm assuming is the top of her trousers/skirt etc. which I would be tempted to clone out.

Thanks Paul & to the others for your valued comments. I've still got to develop the eye for detail & learning every day - thanks to you guys.

On the expression, unless you know her (as I do!), this is her natural look fortunately/unfortunately!

Kids huh - who'd have em ... LOL Wink

My little one's got a few more years to go before she reaches Katie's age, so any tips you can give me ...

Cheers
Paul

I think it is really nice. The pose works well and the lighting is good. The expression on her face is positively intriguing (IMHO)

Good portraits show a lot about the character of the model and this one does. Nice image.
