Removing the bung

Image taken at the Abhainn Dearg Distillery on the Isle of Lewis on Monday. I was over with a friend who's was picking up a sample of the spirit from his 13 month old cask. So this is the first part of getting to the spirit and that's by removing the bung on the barrel to release a brilliant golden coloured spirit from his Olorosso sherry cask. Even with it being so young it has some serious potential, the flavours were delicious so will be one for the future.
