Sold my soul to the Photoshop devil and moved the small balloon to the right as suggested.
Well done Alan - in fact the additional 'Air' between them does 'ease' the composition
very well done. i wonder if it isn't too perfect now. can't say the tension affected me in any way, ...conciously that is. now you've made me think.
A very commercial / attractive image. I can admire it but it doesn't affect me emotionally. I didn't see the original so can't comment on the difference.
Liked the original, but this is better. well done.
Excellent, definitely improved. (since I was one of a few who suggested moving the small balloon, obviously a click!!!)
Worth selling if this is the result much better.
This is excellent, the first one was super but this has to be one of the best pictures I've seen on here, it would definitely get an Editors choice if I was the boss.
My eyes are drawn to the larger one now, the colours and feel of the material seem more pronounced ...then you sense the small one, just drifting away in that georgous blue sky. I love it.
Nice shot, and great colours too.
I agree that this shot is better than your original.
Now you have made the adjustment in Photoshop, shouldn't it be categorised as Digitally Manipulated?
It's all been said. Click
They're both good. I checked your portfolio and with both images side by side it makes them appear as if they were taken about 30 min. apart. You could make an interesting slide show of the smaller one moving across the sky.
good one for suggesting the new placement Anne and well done for doing a grand job on the retouching Alan.
Clever work, well done. Congrats on the EC Alan.
Many thanks everybody (inc. Pete for the EC)
First time I've tried any major manipulation, I found moving the balloon a doddle but matching in the bit of sky was a lot more difficult.
Yes Doug you're right it should have been resubmitted as "Digitally Manipulated" - must have been the old traditional photographer in me preventing it! LOL
Great image. Well done and congrats.
A WINNER!!! TOP NOTCH IMAGE...now the digitally manipulated stuff well stay in this house don't worry. Go out there and show it off
lovely - i have a few which are similar, but i'm glad i didn't post them now, this is much better
obviously made a difference to pete. really is an outstanding job on the retouching. way to take a suggestion! this site rocks with great people!
Excellent work, great colours and nice composition. A worthy winner of an EC - congratulations.
Wonderful work and vibrant colours . x
There's no shame in using photoshop. You've got a cracking shot there!
