May not be your forte, but I think you did great. Super use of lines leading the eye and though a bit muted, the tones work for me.

I think the crop is just about right Jo, and the composition is good with the curves leading the eye into the shot.
You know you need a figure in there don't you though? You do know really, right?? Just where the curves almost meet before they disappear round the corner. A pretty French girl in a red dress ![]()

A good pic Jo, especially considering it was a dull wet day. Uploaded a mod.

Nice shot. I've been known to take the odd pic of French towns myself. Do you notice how it's almost impossible to determine what to measure vertical from? Almost nothing is dead upright; walls, shutters, doors. I guess the builders are all too p***ed to use a plumb line.
