Hi Folks,
Thank you for all the wonderful comments and clicks for 'Black Nab Sunset'. Much appreciated as always.
Yesterday, I went over to Saltwick Bay and met up with, as planned, phil99 and, unplanned, TheCaptain. Nice to see both of you and thanks for a great evening. I feared the worst when I saw how many other togs were there (about a dozen) although with low tide and sunset coinciding, it was to be expected. However, there was none of the verbal diahorrea that so plagued my trip to Roseberry Topping and it was fun to watch how other people work. Most of them were pointing their cameras directly at the setting sun and complaining about the lack of action but if they had just looked up they would have seen the light show in the clouds overhead. Tongue
I hope you all had a great bank holiday weekend, despite the weather and thanks for dropping by.
Dave

Excellent composition and tonal range, particularly the subtle tones in the sky.
Well taken.

Great Shot Dave, I debated going here this weekend, but felt rough so managed to pop along to St Marys lighthouse instead.
Superb composition and great view point. The sky is stunning.

You must be a tog magnet! Last time I was there, admittedly early in the morning....I was the only one there to witness a stunning sunrise. Love the sky....though the horizon could do with a slight rotation Wink

Another fantastic shot, Dave! You are right of course, we sometimes get blinkered - to the detriment of our shots! You've caught a brilliant sky plus the old Admiral's bones! Nice seeing you again too!

Thank you everybody for the comments and clicks. You are right about the horizon Martin, the original has now been duly corrected. The sad thing is, this was supposed to be the corrected version, I don't think I can see straight with these new contact lenses. Wink I can't believe they've all found your posts Ollie, this is bad news indeed, I've never even seen you down there! Thanks again, folks, much appreciated.
