It's a small downloadable sized image - hard to adjust too much, in any case you have done a good enough job here, the speed is clearly seen, and there is a sharp front to focus the eye on, one point I find useful is that when someone is moving, its good that they have room in the shot to move into, yours is flying off out of the shot with no where to go, that is the only advice i would say think about, otherwise nothing too much to adjust - regards Paul

I'm with shawpaul - image in bottom Rh corner not entirely condusive with idea composition for this type of image. Good sense of movement, but would prefer the sharp plane on the driver - difficult though I know this to be.

It's almost there, John. The background water is lovely. The extreme blur gives us a great impression of speed and the colours are very nice. But the jet skier could be sharper. The jet ski seems a bit sharper than the figure but he is the main focus of interest and needs to be as sharp as possible.

I agree with the others also that he needs a bit more space to move into. I like the stuff coming out of the back of the machine so maybe zooming out a bit would give a better result.

Not an easy shot and it's not far off.

Best wishes

Catherine

Thanks all... I agree that it should have space in front to move into... Thanks for taking the time to comment...

Just uploaded a mod to illustrate all of the above.

Also, - you should provide your shot settings when posting a critique, - you left a lot of important information out that we could use to be a lot more constructive.

For example, did you use AI Servo mode; Av or Tv; what were the settings; which ISO, etc.

Regards

Willie

Now I don't agree I know the books say leave space to move into but in this case the interest is in the speed and the wash behind the subject, I think the comp is fine as it is rushing to the edge of the image and going fast enough to allow the breaking of this so called rule.
Great shot and leave it as is ,the movement adds to the shot.

Do agree with this image, that Composition does work well, but with a crop from the top of the frame down a tad.
