This is the Tyne at Wylam Bridge. This has long ceased to carry trains & is now part of the Keelmans Way cycle ride extending down river to Bill Quay.

We walk over that bridge so often and I've never photographed it... Good one. The prototype for Sydney and Newcastle. Today Tynedale, tomorrow the world...

Thanks to all..............mrswoolybill it's nice to hear from someone who is obviously local to me. I took a photo of this bridge must be 25 years ago on a late summers evening.....I was on the road from Hagg Bank to Wylam looking into the setting sun. I have tried many times to get this shot again but it just hasn't happened. This is such a nice bridge to stand on & ponder .........take your camera next time.
Best Regards,
Ian
