Hi all, caught this little guy singing his little heart out but alas with a lens combination of 850mm he came too close and I couldn't move back quickly enough to get him all in so I decided to do a portrait version.
Many thanks for taking time out to view and comment on 'Best foot forward', really appreciate your support.
Regards,
Geoff.

Geoff.
A stunning close-up and in full song. Lovely to hear them in the mornings.
Steve.
an excellent closeup! I can hear him singing out loud to greet spring!
Congratulations on your GEA - a great capture Geoff ![]()

A cracking shot Geoff, but think what it would have been, with the whole subject in the frame![]()
Actually, this is a fine example, of something I was ranting on about a few weeks ago - the quickly grown down, to counter attack the sudden cold snap, which can be easily mistaken for O-O-F

you shouldnt have a lens comb of 850mm Geoff its getting a bit heavy for a man of your age![]()

What a cracking shot Geoff.well deserved GEA Award,well done..Lin
A cracking close up shot of this lovely little robin in full song, the detail in the plumage is immaculate. I disagree with Tomcat I like the fact that this one is different and doesn't show the full robin in the frame. There are lots of shots that have been uploaded on here of robins sitting in trees singing
