A cracking shot. I like the sprinkle of colour across the photo from the leaves, a good contrast to the cooler colour of the rocks and water.

So much going on – what a ridiculous thing to find myself saying about what is, almost, a still life! I like the contrast between the utter stillness in the little pools and the rushing water of the waterfall. And the little touches of leaf colour in what is otherwise almost a mono image.

Stillness and flow Jools, excellent juxtposition.
Ron.

So much to explore in this. Love the colour palate too. I wonder Jools, did you also make an image of just the single top right pool?

There's so much to like about this. The composition, the contrast between the greys and the yellows, textures, still water and moving water - they all combine to make a wonderful image! Love it - and please accept my UA.

Oh wow, what a find!

Definitely worth of a UA on my part. If I've any criticism it's that perhaps a tiny little bit more space between the edge of the frame and the pool on the LHS would've been perfect, but that's small beer in a shot this nice.

Thanks for the C 'n' C's, everyone!

And special thanks to Michael, Ann, Chris and Pete for the UA's and HC! Much appreciated, all!

@MikeB: Sadly there wasn't time. I was with a group and they were impatient to get to the next location. I'd have been happy spending another hour or two here...

This is just wonderful Julian. The muted colour splashed by the bright yellow leaves works beautifully and those still 'cauldrons' of stones are so good.

As soon as I saw the thumb I said 5x4 to myself. The quality jumps out of the thumb and when you open the image it's like looking at the place as you did, it looks 3d the pools at different levels from the dry stones on the right, a truly amazing image. The tiny yellow leaves add another dimension as well.
This must look spectacular as a large print.
