I've done a couple of compositions of this scene of which this is the first. Both are good in my opinion but I'll upload them both to see what you think.
Cheers, Ian.

Some good colours here on what appears to be a fairly long exposure. I like the composition too. The detail though seems a bit off, as the foreground rock on the left should be a sharp as anything large, but isn't, nor is the background on the left either. Not keen on the sky either as the slow shutter speed has blurred it. This can work with some skies, but here it just looks out of focus. Soz.

Thanks all.

Probably a result of the wind Martin...I'll see how it prints. You'll not like the next one either then Smile

Cheer, Ian.

like the composition and don't mind the blur from the wind moving the grasses

Nice shot. Like the grass but would be nicer with a sharper sky

Tend to agree with Mr W. re blur etc. It is a fine composition and a shot to be proud of but... Have you HDR'd it by any chance? Seen HDR skies do this if not aligned correctly. I still like it tho, very nice shot of a very nice place.

Cheers all and thanks for the feedback - makes a change to get some good constructive criticism here on epz...

Simon - no HDR, but I think the very stong winds probably didn't help in the overall result. I didn't make suitable corrections at the time as I didn't really notice it.

Ian.

Forme the strong rock in the backgound is wonderful, and I know I'm in the minority here but I really like the sky, great colour, I'm looking forward to the next composition.
