This male brambling is preparing for summer, his head plumage is turning black ! While the others still had a full set of winter clothes, this one was different. That is why I dare to upload another one

Lovely shot. He's going into breeding plumage. We were in Scarborough at the weekend and though it was very cold, the black headed gulls had black heads ready for the breeding season.
