There is a roost on the Marine Lake at West Kirby which enables close views of a number of waders. They usually gather just before high tide and are very easy to photograph as long as you move slowly!

LOL it is funny how you come to know individual looks of places. Even from the thumbnail I just knew this was taken at West Kirby. Great place. Very nice shot. The colour of the water compliments the bird well.
