...taken a few weeks back at Pollok House in Glasgow. The gardens have been getting a wonderful trim and they do keep it looking very tidy.
A rather unique composition, great crop which really emphasises the viewers focus point, extremely well defined detail, textures and tones.
The area around Pollok House is always well managed, Dougie: just wish the rest of the Park received the same attention.
The ferns show up nicely against where the ivy has been cut back.
Love the composition with the lush green ferns centre right.
The rain will soon bring green along the whole wall here Ann.
this is confusing me ... not difficult on a monday morning ....
is the back dead ivy or some sort of rooting ?
A difficult colur to get right Dougie but I would say you were spot on.
Barbara I think it's probably ivy creepers not roots.
Ivy and ferns. Two out of three is a high score for me in the plant I.D. world
Delicious composition - love the textures - -
What a lovely patern of ivy on those old stones - and the ferns just add to the beauty of the place and image.
