Beautifu image Carol - wonderful colour & detail
Chris
A lovely rose well captured. I presume you have used flash on this one which shows all the detail well. However, it has also shown detail in the background. There are a couple of ways that I would avoid this....tripod mounted camera, position the flower in natural light and use a longer exposure without flash. The alternative is using this shot in PS select the background and alter the colour saturation to make the background solid and hence not show up the contours of the cloth. Hope you appreciate I'm only trying to help!

A beautiful image and a very good tip from Mike,
Geoff.
Stunning image Carol, wonderful colour and excellent detail, I love the water droplets.
Hugh
Such a beautiful Rose and great colour. Can't actually see any problem with the bg but my main computer monitor often doesn't while my wee notebook frequently shows details I've missed in processing! Good info from Mike.
Ann
So beautiful, it looks like porcelain. Well captured.
Carol
Very beautiful... and very beautifully captured and presented, too, Carol.

Beautiful detail but I would add some contrast to lift it
Just a rose perhaps, Carol, but what a beauty and beautifully captured. Very nicely arranged with the symmetry of the leaves, superbly crisp and the colours spot on.
I have checked the b/g and I too cannot see anything there at all on my screen.
Ronnie.
Me again! I downloaded your image and had a look at it in PS under adjust lighting/ lighten shadows and under that I did see some b/g distractions. I tend to do that now with my own shots where the b/g is black, and although I do not always see such on my Mac, others have pointed out this problem when viewed on their PCs.
What I do is use the magic selection tool to define my subject, click Inverse, then with adjust lighting, I drag the black slider along to the right.
Ronnie.

Nice shot. Drops give the flower a unique charm.
Regards, Oleg.
