Nice light on both of these.
Well done. WesternRed.
Well lit and beautifully taken images. I am most drawn to V2.

Fine images, Herman, but don't you go setting any precedents on here ![]()

Two fine shots of these roses, Herman, with V 1 my favourite with the unidirectional lighting, allowing some nice shadowing to show.
On my screen the black b/g in V 1 is just a touch 'muddy' towards the left hand side but that could be easily altered.
Your wife must be as pleased to receive these as the morning cuppa.
Ronnie.
v2 for me - v1 is very intriguing but I prefer the subdued vase and dark background, simple and enticing.
I can smell them from here ![]()

btw we don't get that bad frost every winter but the last 3 winters were all like that. that is global warming for you. it was quite annoying we had no water but from the snow and burst pipes outside the house. At work we heat with the palettes we receive and some oak logs but we had to add a paraffin heater.
here are some more pics form last February. Just go back and forth ![]()
