I took this yesterday on a walk to a neighbouring village when the setting sun obligingly lit this old barge.

Stunning. The subject and processing are good, but what really makes this work for me is the extra space on the right, allowing that dark patch (not a shadow, I think) on the wall to balance the tyre.
Moira
I can only describe this as 'classic Rende'. The subject-matter, composition, and most of all the eye for the best possible light as well as the quirky juxtaposition. Every pixel counts: the stippling of the rust spots, the fine patterning on the wall of the tyre, the slight wobble in the weld line, the western seaboard of Africa (
). Good to see it at the higher resolution, too.
First class.
Happy New Year!
Regards
Bill
Excellent balance, Rende, with lovely tones and textures. A lot more to see than at first appearance.
Dave
"Classic Rende" for sure. Wonderful abstract full of delicious colours and textures and a superb composition.
Anne
Superb tones and textures - 1st class capture Rende ![]()

it all works so very well. The colouring and detail of the metalwork is superb but the addition of the tyre adds a whole new geometric dimension. Very well done.
