I took this oh a recent holiday to North Carolina. I saw hummingbirds outside a visitor centre and decided to try and get a shot of one of them. I found it extremely difficult, to say the least! I must have taken about a hundred and this one is the best. These little birds change direction so very quickly! I would love to have another go sometime.

It seems to have suffered in sharpness on uploading, it is sharper than this.

Apparently it's a Ruby-throated Hummingbird.

This is a great shot. I chased one of these little guys around for 5 days and didn't manage to get anything near as good as your shot. They move so fast and never stay in one place for long - I couldn't believe how frustrating it was! Congratulations on a lovely image.
