Hi folks,

Another very busy period explains my prolonged absence, and as the title suggests I am getting rather low on new material, so I have decided to have some sport and inflict another sp on you from my session a couple of months ago.

Hope to catch up soon.

Matt

I am no expert in portraiture, Matt, but this image strikes me as being most competently arranged and captured, the lighting so well organised, the exposure spot on and your pose with downcast eyes inviting more questions than it answers.
I shall be interested to return in due course and see the comments of others better qualified than myself.
Ronnie.

Yes it's good to see you around. self-portraiture is scary, I've never had the courage to do it seriously - in a sense the soul is posing naked. I like the care and concern and detail in this, I'm viewing it on the laptop which is not ideal.

A very thoughtfull pose, and well lit, Matt. I like the dark tee shirt which gives the head a disembodied look.

The low key image throws all the focus on you.
I'm observing a light and dark side to this - is that just the light
or are you making a statement?

Deep in thought! Works so well as a mono and the lighting works perfectly.

Great focusing, lighting, posing, colouring and format. Worthy of the awards.

The harsh side lighting suits this male portrait so well. Love those rich blacks and crisp whites captured here that makes for a top draw mono portrait viewed here.

Dave.
