Had a bit of sunshine and blue sky today,so thought it was time to get my behind off from my comfy chair and go out and get some pics.Besides, the snow is forecast to return today,so will have plenty time to get my behind back on my comfy chair !!
love the light and shadows mick brilliant rusty detail a cracker nice one
Great contrasty tones and textures Mick............Sandy
Great colours and textures, I really like the shadows, great shot mick.
just got a crik in my neck trying to figure out all the angles and how it all hangs ,get back in your comfy chair and give us some ladders and steps so i can tell which way is which, spot on shot though sir.looking bad for you tommorrow stay safe and well.
Lots of rust and details in this what ever it is--- How did you ever shoot this--
A very interesting image!
Very nice plat of light and shading here, Mick, and good detail, colours and textures: but what the heck is it.....can't make it out at all.

Same here! Thank goodness for gravity, without it I'd never have worked it out.
Light snow here, just hoping there's no more - we're only just recovering from the last lot.
Interesting shapes, textures and shadows.
Bit of heavy gear here Mick, thats a serious bit of cable. But it makes a good picture, the cable's on the diagonal, and there's enough rust to make it one of yours. Nice one.
What a fine intertwining of light and substance.
Nice one Mick
Thanks for your comments on my last post and funny enough, the lad reminded me of Marc Bolan too! not sure about the Pete Townsend though lol!
A bit of a composition special, this one, Mick, very neatly done too. You could form a rusty X by flipping, inverting, re-flipping and adding all four together in PS, though I'm sure you would have no problems finding a rusty X somewhere, doing the job in-camera and saving yourself the trouble of all that software time.
I have a feeling it might make a decent black & white as it is, but I'd better not tell you
Great textures in the rust today Mick! but where's your snow gone?
I have a feeling you are going to be on the receiving end of it all from tomorrow...so better get out for the pint and a few to take home... Like all the shadows on this too as well
Great bit of rust and wonderful shadows Mick - great find and capture.
Yep, looks like we are all in for some white stuff tonight and for the next few days.
Yep, the shadows working well here Mick, and plenty of lovely rust, smashing!
A solid piece of rust there Mike, whatever it is - you could tether the Queen Mary to that - good pic...Bill
Looking at the forecast its going to be comfy chairs all round, I like the angle you captured this Mick. - gary
left, right, left right....a good neck excercise!
excellent capture, Mick
Excellent light, rust, color, clarity, depth, & comp, here, on your fine capture, Mick. Good show.
I really like the pinkish glow today
This is lovely Mike. The detail and tones are wonderful. Great light and pov.
Super colour & details.
Hi mate, trying to fathom out what they are trying to prevent being nicked. Seems just a bit of old cable ~ Isn't nothing sacred up there, seems everything has to be chained up with old rusty locks and chains?
Perfectly conveys the structure of the metal.
Great still life. Love the angle and detail
A wonderful set of diagonals in this composition Mick - crazy angle, but it works. Ever since I started looking at your images, I see rust everywhere, and I see beauty in it - especially if it is someone elsess rust
Great bit of rust and wonderful shadows Mick -
Love the complex bits Mick. the rust is great too
Good arrangement to the elements here Mick, nice textural detail to match. Just started snowing here in the Midlands, so back to the comfy chair for me.
lovely textures.... great detail
Like the POV in this one Mick.
A cracking pov indeed , am pleased to see you also have not lost your touch , kind regards Colin
Very intriguing, well chained!
Glad to see that you've broken free from your chains to get some new images, this one is all about the shadows and textures
Wonderful abstract, superb shadows indeed. Merry Christmas
Well spotted Mick, Merry Xmas old chap
Great shadows - perfect comp.
Are these your Christmas decorations, lol.
It had me twisting & turning to find the angle too. I reckon it needs turning 90 degrees clockwise. The shadows would be less confusing then.
Mind you, would the shot have got as much attention if you hadn't made us all think?
