Albert Dock, Liverpool, within sight of the old Cunard building and the Merseyside Maritine Museum, one of the Lusitania's four 23-ton propellers, salvaged from the wreck in 1982. It serves as a memorial to the 1,201 lives that were lost when the ship was torpedoed by a German U-boat during World War One.

Nice shot, I read a little about the sinking of the Lusitania. Sad if it is true that it was used to bring the USA into the First World War.

I really admire your ability to 'see' photo opportunities Eric. This is another that I could have taken this year if I had your vision!
Well done again, and also most of the shots you have put up in the last week!
Regards
Ian

Thanks, Tim. Yes the sinking was one of the reasons the USA became involved. There were many Americans onboard her.

I agree with Ian Eric you 'see' a photo everywhere! Lovely contrasting colours.
