This is a special crystal in my collection.
'Rutile' derives from the the Latin rutilus, red, which the
fine hair like inclusions often are.
However, in quartz, the rutile enclosures are sometimes also
present in brown and greyish hues.
They are made of a form of Titanium I believe.
No two stones will ever be alike.
There is such a high degree of light refraction it was hard
to achieve a clear photo !
