Today I've gone back to The Stade, Hastings, early morning at the beginning of July.
Thanks for looking and for any comments and/or criticisms - or suggestions! I think the sky might be a bit noisy having been put through Topaz...?

Happy New week
Thatky really makes this one special
When I was there it was the usual dull grey
Quote: The lowish POV sets the boat nicely against the sea and sky, Ann.
Fine detail and composition.
Ronnie.
he is right, I alos like the lines converging to the left and suggesting a large bay.
Super image Ann, great pov and composition, fantastic shot.
Hugh
Lovely one! The winch on the angle of the starboard bow looks to be trying to pull the boat over - unless it's the boat pulling the winch!
Regards
Bill
Great capture, love the pov, colours and light.
Sylvia
Super image Ann, well composed with excellent detail,
Fred.
How lovely to have that beautiful sky in the background ![]()

Great pov Ann
Helen
Nice opposing diagonals and a fabulous summer sky, the boat is in just the right spot and fills the eye with thoughts of sandy beaches and fishing boats, and maybe fish & chips?
Dougie
A remarkably clean, uncluttered view for the Stade - lovely elegant lines.
Moira
Can't add anything further re the composition, Ann, but have you got (or tried) Topaz DeNoise5?
Dave
I love the bright and cheerful look to this image Ann, smashing!

The bright weather really makes this sing, excellent angle and composition Ann.
All the above, simplicity at it's best.
Like it.
Regards.
Gavin
Strong composition with colour that 'pops' without looking oversaturated. Love the way the clouds seem to halo around the boat. A simple but very well executes image Ann.
Derek
Perfectly positioned in the frame, Ann. The pov does make it look as if the boat is fighting to stay upright, only the counter-weight of the winch holding it upright!
Malc
Yep...I see what you mean with the sky being noisy. I see it when viewed Large. I encounter the same thing when I use Whyeth with Lucis. The detaily bits are fine but the solid expanses show up noise ![]()
That said, this is a VERY handsome shot, Ann. Colour-, composition-, light- and contrast-wise.
Andrew
An excellent composition Ann, the noise is only evident when viewed large but does not detract from this image at all
