THANK YOU FOR VIEWING THE LARGER VERSION :o)
not sure this one will be liked by many. But I'm a bit of a sucker for silhouette shots and it also reminds me a bit of Hermin's wonderfull "beach" photos (okay, only a bit, and be it without the color and without the outstanding quality)
critique welcome

I like the foreground and the subtle silhouettes, but think you could have done a bit more with the sky as it's a tad bland.
There is detail in there, so may be worth tweaking. I've uploaded a mod where I've tried to bring out more sky detail with a curves adjustment layer with gradient layer mask. I might have gone a bit far with it though as I'm using my crappy works monitor.
Dave.
thanks for the mod Dave. Already had darkened the sky a bit myself, and didn't want to take it too far, but looking at your mod, perhaps I should indeed have gone a bit further. Might have been better as well if I had taken the photo a bit later, as the sun was still quite high and harsh here (and I already took this at the max 1/2000 sec my camera allows).
I really like this inthe same way I likeatardecer by miralles lots of people all with the same thing in common, relaxing by the sea and I love the person in the hat far right. Dont think its worth going all technical about it because it would ruin the moment, just as much as if you went up to those people and started shouting at them. A very tranquil shot Koen, nice mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Pooch.
Thanks :o)
just noticed your mod Alastair. don't mind darkening the picture. goes very well for the largest part of it I think. but the problem for me are the persons in the fg. by darkening it, the legs "disappear" within the dark bg, which I really wanted to avoid. But thanks. apreciate the time you took.
I like it. The silhouettes are stunningly sharp and I like the bottle Nana is holding.
Good reflection on the paving. Agree that the sky is a bit bland but am not sure if a more contrasty sky would add value.
Robert
I like this, its an interesting sky and texture to the ground. Gives me some inspiration since I've got to enter a sillouette for a competition in a couple of months!!
damn how do you do it time after time? A great shot again Koen, please keep it up!
Great silhouette-image, full of charizma if that doesn't sound wierd. Nice texture in the fg, and I do think the 'soft' sky gives a different mood than a punchy sky, and looking at the silhouettes I think the soft sky is spot-on here. They are all very relaxed. The fence balances nicely with Che and Nana and the bottle. Very good shot
Tommy
thanks again.
If you're looking for some inspiration for silhouette photos Simon, you might want to check out Hermin's PF (link in description).
Kind of liked the balancing fence as well Tommy. glad you noticed. and of course the bottle.
