Good morning all!
Thankyou all very much for your C&C on my last upload Birdseye View and a special thankyou to DicksPics and Kuvailija for their User AwardsGrinGrinGrin
Some very interesting comments on that image which I will try to answer....
The chair lift has always gone right down to the beach, well since it was built Wink before that it was just steps.
And the structure on the mainland in the distance, I looked on other images I took and google mapped and still have'nt a clue. I have some other shots that I might upload for my "Needles" upload with other things I cant find on google maps eitherTongue

Anyway thats enough babble I am sure.......
Todays was taken at Priory Bay on the east coast of the IOW which is between Seaview and St. Helens, you cant get to this beach without walking from one or the other, no road to this beach. I have given you some calming music to listen toHERE
Think you might need to calm down after all that yaddaTongueBlushGrin

A lovely image, and I like the large expanse of sky which was a brave thing to do.

Because the sky is a main feature, I think it could be improved by selectively reducing the noise in the sky and you can be quite aggressive of that because there is little fine detail there. Maybe also saturate the blue a wee bit (probably by reducing the exposure, again selectively).

Thankyou......I was expecting "crop the sky"WinkGrin.... but I do like the big sky on this one, even though there isn't that much going on.
I will have a reprocess on this sometime and see if I can remove the noise more Grin

A very well observed and composed image. The vast sky although plays a huge part lacks any oomph, and I feel that this lets the image down somewhat.

It's a vast blue sky, empty but for high cloud. How much more do you want?

It's a good photograph.

Alan

P.S. Nathan's usually sensible, but this time he's talking bollocks

A big, big, blue, blue sky in the UK - capture as much of it as you can as it doesn't happen often!!!

Seriously, the huge sky works really well here adding to the lovely summery atmosphere.

I like the big sky too; if this was mounted and hung in the right environment it would look great; I like the minimalistic feature.

It looks like you had to include a lot of sky to bring in the wisps of clouds that are there. It is a simple and bold photo. I am guessing from the formation, that the sailboats are in a race. Photographs like this, Diane, become almost as much graphic as photo. I quite like it.
