Good evening folks.

Another rework of a shot I took last summer when we visited Whitby and Saltwick bay. We were a bit disappointed by the sea fret but I quite liked the fact that the Black Nab was a bit lost.

Anyone who's made the pilgrimage to the wreck will know it's not as glamorous as some shots would have you think.

Large might be a bit better

Thanks for looking.

Alan

I have never even heard of this so I am looking at it with brand new eyes and I find it very magical and thought provoking.
Every time I go to Whitby it is just to see the Goths!

Nicely different composition without the usual background. The texture of the wreck and rocks comes out well in the diffuse light.

Superb shot and post-processing. I like the contrast between the sharp, clear f/g and the misty b/g. Excellent work.

"Is that as far as it got" .... LOL you cheeky beggar.

A lovely image this with a lonely and rather haunting quality. The limited colours and misty background just add to the atmosphere of the piece.

I've seen loads of Saltwick shots with varying degrees of sunset etc, this is the first misty one I remember seeing, and it is wonderful, most of us would probably not have bothered, but you have made the most of the conditions.
