Time for a bit of colour; well I had to try and do justice to this wonderful heather. It was all over this side of St Mary’s in the Scilly Isles.
Taken towards the twin humped Island of Samson, this was one of the few sunsets with a bit of colour from my trip last week
I pushed the HDR a tad, just to bring out the best of the detail in the grass – hope I haven’t gone too far?!
Many thanks to everyone who commented and voted on my previous image, and to Pete for the HC – much appreciated!

A beautiful scene. Love the Lilac colour from the heather. Beautifully worked!

Gorgeous light, Paul.
The catchlight on the waves in the middle distance is just lovely.
Purple and green just work so well together, don't they?
And unusual for you not to be on the shoreline dowsed in spray!
All the best,
Bill
ps I'm considering E2. Worth it?
Wonderful again Paul. Love the light and colours in this, the heather looks great. The only area where I'd say you've possibly pushed the tone mapping is on the strip of green down the left hand edge but it certainly doesn't detract from the image.
