A male common blue butterfly I saw on some sweet peas growing on the sand dunes at Sand Bay near Weston-Super-Mare back in August. I must have seen more common blues along this stretch of the coast and at Sand Point on that day than I have all this summer.

Shows the beautiful blue colour of this small butterfly Ed
he's not a bit common, complemented by the intense purple flower
Many thanks for all your comments and clicks, they are much appreciated, Ed
Beautiful shot Ed, cracking detail and good to see you haven't over saturated the colours too much,
Geoff.
