Cruise ships in the caldera of Santorini, largest volcano in mankind, probably Plato's Atlantis. Smoldering lava islet in the centre.

Congratulations!
I have seen many shots from the island of Santorini, but very few photographers have stood themselves where you were and took that picture. If I am not mistaken not even the Greek local ones!
This could open a discussion of what to choose to shoot when you visit a place. I understand and I know from personal experience I look what other photographers have found interesting in places I intend to visit. But I try also to find alternative spots or details that will make my shot more personal (to me first), just like your picture, unique!
So best advice "keep eyes open and explore". (but keep safe)
Thanks, Pablo. It was for a travel mag cover, so portrait with space at top for title.
Thanks everyone ![]()
Yes, Barry, what a tragedy! I was on the Costa Cruise myself in November, you would never think a thing like that could happen to such a magnificent ship.
Thanks, Patricia.
Great shot Patricia
I really like the contrast of blue and white and those wispy clouds. ![]()
