This picture is one of my first ant pictures. The picture was taken in my kitchen windows. I used an external flash and reflected the light from the flash with the help of an A4 paper. I also took advantage of the sunlight that poured through the window. There were countless exposures in this session, only few were usable. But that is normal in photographing ants, they always running around, completely random... But once you get a picture with clarity, it feels all the effort worthwhile!
I gave the picture titled "Satisfied" then I think that the ant seems to be at peace, satisfied.

Hi Helena, welcome to EPZ! ![]()
Brilliant, someone else who loves insects. This is a stunning shot, it would be brilliant if you could write just a few words in the description box giving us some hints on how this was taken!
I have always found ants really difficult to capture, they always move so quickly.
I shall look forward to seeing more of your work! ![]()
Fantastic image Helana. Welcome to EPZ by the way Helana

I shot and shot until I got some pictures I liked. Ants are actually still sometimes, you just have to be stubborn and not give up despite numerous unsuccessful shots.
quote]Thanks for the write up - amazingly simple for such a fantastic capture.
How on earth did you stop it running away?!! ![]()
