What an amazing response to yesterday’s upload. Thanks, all Grin

Special thanks to Helen (helenlinda) and Carole (rolepics) for their User Awards on my previous upload and to Ed (Glostopcat) for his on ‘Sunlit Yellows’ Smile

Right-O…today’s offering was taken in April 2010. Strong late afternoon sun had cast these dark shadows onto the patio and I just had to record them.

The original straight-from-cam shot is in V3.

Vs 1 & 2: I thought I’d try to focus more on the leaves and their shadows by eliminating the messy surroundings. Unfortunately the final image looks like a short length of intestine with some undigested vegetable matter Sad

Let this be a lesson, people. Chew your food!

Andrew

I like the original. If you cropped that just below the big black blob it would make a very interesting shadow shot.

Thanks very much for the suggestion, Joline! I think you're on to something. Fact is, I like the original shot too but there was too much mess. But merely eliminating the blob should neaten up things loads.

I love your description. Makes me think of my cats.. In summer they use grass, now all is covered in snow they tried the lemongrass Wink one disgusted look... Why do you grow that stuff!

And seriously, I like no 1 even if I'm the only one, but the original is also very nice!

As I've worked my way down here reading all the comments so far Andrew, I find myself changed from where I was at the top Grin I wasn't too keen on the mono at first, but that changed once I saw where you were coming from with V3. I had then decided it was V2 for me, but now think Joline has made a very good suggestion!
Rgds., Jim
PS. Does that make any sense?.......should it?? GrinGrin
