I fancied a break from the mountain cloud shots, so here's one of a certain much-togged waterfall. ;o)

This is a slightly different composition from the the first Scaleber upload. No filters were used on this shot. The lighting was quite gloomy and I didn't really need to use filters to get a long exposure for the water movement.

I exposed right to get as much shadow detail as possible without blowing the highlights. I then took multiple 'exposures' in the RAW conversion and blended in Photoshop to hold back the highlights in the final version.

Critique away. Thanks for looking.

Pete

Such a familiar place..and I've never been there Smile This looks good to me, I can't find fault. Though I like the idea of B&W as the colours are so subtle it should work.

Hello Pete, this is the type of settings to head for on a dull day...your exposure on the water is perfect and capturing the greenery of the mosses balances your shot beautifully.

Have an RC on me Mr H...just pop a cheque for the usual amount in the post!

Your choice of shutter speed spot on, with so much detail available in the shadows...glad to see that your close scrunity of my waterfall images has paid off for you ;o)
