The Boss and I are just home from a fabulous double trip up to Twisleton Scar - a flippin' long walk, which we did both yesterday afternoon and again this morning!
However, I have to say it was well worth the trip on both occasions - particularly this morning - getting up with that haul up to the top was a tad of a challenge!
We had spent a bit of time yesterday locating "Mel's Rock", so were able to head straight there for sunrise. No snow, and the light disappeared VERY quickly behind a bank of cloud, but what we got was a wee bit nice! (Well, I thought so, hope you do too)
A quick couple of thank-yous - - firstly to MrS for suggesting and organising the overnight stay - - had a brill time!! and also to Beth, who actually prevented me getting frostbite by giving me a super little hand-warmer for Christmas - - worked a treat ![]()
Anyway, enough of the "Oscar" speech - - but my final thank you is to you, dear viewer, for spending a little of your precious Sunday here - - hope the rest of it is great!! ![]()
Cheers All!

Great speech and superb image, nice use of "Mel's Rock" to hide to sun and force the light to each side of it. A nice little dusting on the top of the Boro. The Dales as I remember them.
Like the low viewpoint and that sky is beautiful.
