Great colour in this image, and Ade is spot on. If you see a dragonfly perched 99 times out 100
it will come back to that spot. What I like doing is placing a new perch in a territory & see how
long it takes the dragonfly who's patch it is comes to try it out.

Lovely shot, but your ID is incorrect, this is a Scarlet Darter, Ruddy darters have all black legs and a more waisted shape to the abdomen
