This is part of a profile of my good friend Joe Coyne officiating on the scoreboard at the National Hurling League match yesterday between Kilkenny and Clare. (We got thrashed!)Very strong light coming from the right and despite best efforts, still overexposed on Joe's left cheek.

Very interesting. The highlights are not a problem to me, either.
If anything, I would say that a better composition would be with Joe turned so he was facing into the frame. He could then put his right arm around the score - showing a greater connection, perhaps.
It's a good subject, worth exploring further.

Nice shot, - very much the hardened "bookie" expression.

I uploaded a mod to try to get more of the expression on the right.

Great portrait of a man at work. I like the colours in the photo and I particularly love the setting and composition of the photo.

If you're anything like me, you like clicks for the quality of shots. I love this shot but as the others have said, the expression is fantastic but, it's just the exposure that's not that great. Most importantly, this is a great portrait!
