No sudden brilliant shafts of light to brighten the gloom, only frequent sqaulls of rain on my drive north to Skye and Harris in May this year. Stopped in a lay by and took this shot, not sure but I think it may be Loch Loyne we are seeing in the distance.

I've learned a lot about the British Isles from this site. I never realized that there was so much barren land in Scotland.
