Taken in the walled garden at Lindisfarne Castle on Holy Island while on our visit.

I have seen many photos where there is a main flower in focus & the rest is a blur & I have tried many times to have a go but with no success, but here is one I quite like hope you do to

Tech: 1/200s, f18, ISO 400 & - 1 stop

Hello Glynnis you need a larger aperture to the one you have here such as f5.6 to get a smaller depth of field to get the effect you are after. hope this helps

but this worked at f18 if she had used f5.6 some of the front flower would not have been sharp, She achieved what she wanted

DOF ok, composition ok, but personally I don't like the border colour....
