Al (Almiles) trawled through my portfolio and suggested this as an abstract of a picture I never submitted to the gallery.

I have to say he was right, I know its not going to be everyone's cuppa, but I think that the tones and light show the movement of the waves very well.

Its a long exposure of the slipway into the bay at Swanage, out of shot to the top is Swanage pier.

Thanks to all those that clicked and commented on yesterday's upload, i hadn't expected it to do very well at all, so cheers very much.

Mark

It's ok Alda I'm only playing and it's a hot pixel on my sensor that I missed when I processed the image and they only really become obvious on the long exposures. You must be looking very closely or have a huge monitor to spot it straight off. Thanks for the vote and taking the time to comment! Grin

Quite prominent on my monitor, Mark!! TongueGrinGrin I know about them 'cos I had to clone several from my Inle Lake low light image.

A strong abstract and looks very Victorian/London smoggy - a slipway down to a misty Thames in Dickensian London.. Shadwell maybe.

Well I had to put my glasses on to see it! Cracking picture mate. I think Alda must have exceptional sight or a much better monitor than mine! Grin

I can't see a red dot either but then I'm colour blind! This is stunning though Mark, it has mystery, gorgeous light and textural interest. The only additional suggestion I might make is to clone out the seabirds/dark splodges at the very top of frame which are slightly distracting. Then I'd suggest printing large or on a canvas and hanging on your wall; I would if I had one this good! Smile

The rough with the smooth. I love it Mark.
Didn't see the hot pixel till pointed out. A drat it moment!
This works very well without the sky and adds to it's mystery.

Something quite mystical about this image Mark, I love the exposure for and the colours of the water!
Really lovely work! Smile
