Taken in Bath city centre in May this year.
Many thanks for your comments on my swan upload with special appreciation to Badgerfred, SUE118 and LynneJoyce for their UAs.
A little colour to give added interest to a very well observed shot Carol.
I like the shot, but, I'm not sure this is a good candidate for the colour isolation trick. To me the areas chosen are too small to have a major impact. The technique really works well to pick out the most prominent part of the shot and give it focus. Here it's a few small areas far in the distance and a scarf.
Just to show that we are all different with differing and equally valid opinions, in my opinion the selective colour works well to make the point you want to make, both women highlighted by the colour popping are searching, as in your title. Clever and original use of selective colour.
Good point made by Lynne - for me I just love the scarf to great to see it in colour.
Good idea and well done.
Great colour popping, Carol Carol
Superb work, love the hints of colour.
good candid works well in Mono
Great candid, Carol, and though I like the selective colouring, think I would have left that bright green bag on the left in mono! To me it detracts the eye from the main subject, but still a great candid shot
Love the low viewpoint. Not so keen on the bright green bag which grabs the eye, but the subtle scarf is nice.
Have you also noticed the orange item?
Everyone is always after a bargain Carol.
If that is a Fay Et Fille handpainted silk scarf she
is wearing,I will give her £2.99p for it !!
Quote: Have you also noticed the orange item?
Thank you for your comments regarding the selective colour and I can entirely see what you mean.
The reason I chose to pick out these three items was to highlight the three people "searching", but maybe the shot speaks for itself without this technique.
Fabulous result and a great title
