A set of images for todays "Shadow Saturday" theme all taken last spring at Weston-Super-Mare in Somerset. The majority of these were taken on the Grand Pier which has been restored after the devastating fire of a few years ago when the twin peaks pictured here were burnt down. The town also gets the nickname Weston-Super-Mud due to the tide often being very far out, v1 is clear evidence of this

These are excellent Ed, can't pick a favourite like them all,
Fred.
Nice set, V5 my favourite - people, perspective plus red splashes. But I do like the fact that V8 has been supplied with refreshments.

Great set of images Ed excellent shadows, was caught in the rain in September at the end of the pier, it was terrible I had to sit in the cafe eating pancakes and ice-cream!
Regards
Trev.
I remember being there not long after the fire... a phoenix from the ashes.... although they've gone and removed the Dalek!! ![]()

Vs 2, 4, 5 and 6 are my favourites, all quite similar, but I like the compositions.
Many thanks for all your comments and clicks, they are much appreciated, Ed
The slow connection in hospital means that I can only see image 1 but it is wonderfully sharp so well worth a vote.
Beautifully composed, lovely light and shadows,
Johanna
Spent a summer holiday at Southport one year (a long, long time ago
) was not impressed when it was low tide!! Got a temporary membership at the Southport & Ainsdale G.C., that was great! This is a fine set showing how well they've recovered from the fire Ed (which I remember seeing on TV), probably better now than it ever was!
Rgds., Jim
