...some of the "foreign" trees are off and changing fast, the Scottish trees are slower to change and stay green, but the season has changed and the air is colder.

Funny how it just seems to sneak up on you, and all of a sudden you have this gorgeous landscape of colour. Beautiful colours and nicely backlit showing off the detail in the leaves. Moira

Beautiful light creating a sort of negative/positive effect according to the background.

The beautiful warming rays of light certainly bring these fading leaves back to life.

No great changes here as yet, Dougie, apart from some recent windfall. Fortunately we can rely on you for the seasonal colour. The red stands out well here; I must admit to liking the tiny clump of warm bokeh bottom right which also helps to 'contain' the image.

I took some shots of our trees that look just like this Dougie. Some lovely light behind those leaves.....Sandy

You are very lucky in Scotland for the rich autumnal colour on the trees. The one time I visited in autumn, I was stunned by the colours - they're so much stronger than down south! Smile These leaves are beautiful - I'm looking forward to seeing some here soon.

Yellows and reds are now the order of the day here as well, Dougie. Apart from the firs, of course, which refuse to taake part in the transformation, as they do every year.

Finely backlit to bring out all the hues in these autumn offerings.

And not a single drop of water... perhaps autumn is going to make up for a bad summer. Looks like the chances are good. Lovely autumnal colours and super light.
