This isnt realyla self portrait just a picture i took of myself while on my travels, for some reason my photoshop wont open it says there is an error and it is unrecoverable, so i only have image ready, which wont allow me to adjust the image size. Right after i typed that photoshop opened with no problems and worked fine. I was wondering if you can give me some tips on how to make this image look better i have no idea how to work photoshop. sorry about the length of this :o) kay. xx

Photoshop takes some getting used to but I think the first things you should try with this are the hue/saturation features to bring up the colours a bit more. Try cropping close to remove alot of the background and trying sharpening a bit (unsharp mask). K.

You are gorgeous! This could use an increase in contrast and brightness and a crop on the right. However, that smile of yours really makes this image work. Hope to see more self-portraits from you. =)

I agree with the others, bringing up the saturation would help a lot (image > adjustments > hue/saturation, then play around with the sliders) - it could also do with a bit of sharpening I think. Great model though!

Hi Kay, here are some ideas,if you don't have a tool bar to the left go to Window and select tools, then find the stamp tool this will allow you to clone and take away the poles or bits you don't want. another handy tool is the magic wand used to isolate cetain areas.I use Paint shop as its easier but photoshop is better if you get the hang of it. best advice play around with it and see what you can do , good luck . ps can your girlfrind teach you photoshop? I can, Adrian

It just lacks contrast Keishla, using the curves tool in PS. Easiest thing would be to simply play with a copy of it until you're happy, but the classic 'S' shape curve would probably do this wonders.
Being an upstanding member of EPZ it would be impolite of me to mention the quality of the subject matter - so I won't.

thanks, again people you been v. nice to me. and thanks for all the comments on the 'model' I tried the playing option but i get frustrated and stop. i need some concentration really. its hard im ADD, i have low concentration so my attempts never last long. sometimes i get bouts where i can concentrate for hours but now isnt one of those times. god i waffle on. sorry. my girlfriend cant use PS Adrian she can only just work the computer :o).

A lovely shot of a great looking woman. As suggested above a few minor adjustments would make it even better. I would happily do a photo shoot with you if ever you were interesting in modelling. click

Its a good shot of you and I think everybody has mad lots of sensible suggestions (regarding improving the picture I mean!). Personally I would also crop you out of the picture altogether and put you into a more exotic location. And then hang the picture on my wall!!!!
Good luck
Jeff
