this is another of the same set I tried, i made it little grainy look, here the flash is less disturbing in my oppinion, I don't know about the pose, I hope it not boring.

I like the sheen on your back and the shadows cast (nice dimples by the way).
The flash (to me) is not distracing in the least and actually adds to the shot because of the texture of the background it is falling on.
The glasses add a touch of glamour' to it all somehow ..... maybe it is the 'celebrity' thing of pretending to hide behind the sun glasses whilst wanting everyone to look at them.
As for the pose - boring?. Not at all. It goes with the lighting very well.
What I might be tempted to do is remove the light triangle above your head (I find that tends to pull he attention a tad)

I think self portraits are one of the most difficult shots to do. Lots of girls do fantastic sp's. You are very beautiful so dont give up. I learnt a lot about lighting by shooting myself, but i didn't publish the pics with my face LOL
