I took this shot in my bathroom, as there are no windows to allow any light in. The camera was set for a 15 second exposure at f8.
Having light switch & camera within reach, I turned off the light, opened the shutter, popped the flash manually at arms length in front, then turned around & popped the flash again.
It took a few attempts to get it right!

A very creative and clearly worked through image, which certainly grabs my attention, and worth exploring further.

A combination of clever, careful technique and sheer inspired lunacy. Thanks for this one, it restores my faith in the site.

LOL! Thanks Moira...You should see some of the other shots if you really want to see some lunacy Wink
I might post another tomorrow just for laughs.
Got to admit...It was a very fun enterprise!

As always, it is nice to see pictures less than ordinary.
I applaud your creativity.
The picture is very sharp focused, on both sides Smile and the expression on the right is a sheer testament of the fun you must have had. Yes, it is also contrasting the face on the left giving it a sinister twist.

It's a seriously good self-portrait, however taken. It has the sense of fun and passion, even without the story. I couldn't give my UA last night, had to wait until this morning.
I reckon there are a lot of us due a visit from the nice young men in their clean white coats...
