I had a go at some self portraits and this was my favourite. I used natural light and toned down the contrast/blacks in photoshop to give it a more hazy look.
I always enjoy self portraits, I know how difficult they can be. fine job here.
I've too have been playing around with Self portraits lately! SO much fun
That's a good effort, in difficult lighting. Play with Fill Flash to assist you, as i'm sure you're not that pale.
(Cloudy or Shade WB adds free warmth)
I'm guessing the camera was quite close to you there??
Try positioning the camera it about 15 feet away, (maybe slightly less if you're limited to 55mm) zoom in then nail it. The definition and proportions will be a lot better.
I like how the window sill guides your eyes into the shot and your eyes look very sharp, which is a must :0)
A lovely shot. I can't fault it. The lighting is good and the clarity excellent. The viewer really beams on your eyes, which is what it's all about! Fab
Its quite good. A tip though, - dont use a wide angle for portraits so close to the subject as it distorts proportions quite badly. Try your next one at 50mm and see the difference.
Nice self portrait might have a go myself seems interesting. Ted
Very natural, I really like it.
Well worth the RC. I like the gaze into the middle distance
