Taken in the garden this morning just before the grass was cut - I love seeing these and other wild flowers growing freely in the lawn...
Selfheal is a common herb both here in Britain and throughout Europe - it has a long history of medicinal use - the leaves are traditionally used applied to wounds to promote healing.
The camera was resting on my small beanbag - selective focussing on the flower head through the grass giving a nice blurred fore/background...
