Hi
One from saturday night at New Brighton. This time a 99 second exposure using a B+W 10 stop filter. Am really not sure about the composition on this shot, am pretty undecided, so thought I'd put it to the epz users
Any feedback, good and bad is welcomed.
Thanks for looking
Mark

I see what you mean about the comp Mark, neither here or there, either a step to the left to centralise it or a step to the right to get the old rule of thirds thing going on - that said though, I'm sure if you hadn't mentioned it I wouldn't have really noticed

Yeah Paul, I kinda like the composition and love the colours, but something is definitely annoying me about the shot, maybe thats it, a step to one side would have helped. Appreciate the comment mate
Keep the crits coming folks.....maybe I should have uploaded it to the crit gallery instead lol

I so wish that I had the computer and software facilities here that I have at home, then I would play with the image and sort out what I think needs in order to give it the impact it deserves. I'd certainly crop it differently, but I'm not sure exactly how. Worth a vote for the sharpness, colour and subject though I think it is still work in progress.
I like it. You may like to consider the alternative of a crop from the bottom and a centrally located horizon in letterbox format.

Thanks peeps, really appreciate the suggestions and comments above, will be having a play ![]()

Cheers Dessy, yeah I would recommend it. Its a slight pain with it being a screw on filter, you need to compose your shot then quickly screw on the filter each time, but apart from that I really like it and have had some good results from it mate. Benefits are that it is quite strong and would be hard to smash I reckon ![]()
