Unexpectedly, I had an hour at Clevedon, North Somerset on Saturday.
Hadn't been out with a camera since Spain nearly two months ago and have been (and still am) laid up with some sort of flu thingy, which I wouldn't wish on a dead dog.

A very stiff onshore breeze was not only blowing this beastie straight in off the sea, but also throwing up humungous amounts of spray which made shooting rather tricky to say the least.
I think I spent more time wiping off the spray from the filter than actually shooting!
The fast incoming tide was, well er....FAST...managed to get moderately soaked more than once.

Still, I managed to bag a few that I was happy with.
This is frame 006, shortly after setting up and with the afternoon sun backlighting this storm.

A highly enjoyable, if difficult, shoot all in all.

Thanks for dropping in Smile

Bill

Good colours and nice spume. Smile

I don't know if it was possible but I might have been tempted to get a bit further left to allow more of the pier and less of the brightest bit of sky in frame.

Naughty...getting yourself (not forgetting the camera too) wet ..when you
should have been tucked up in bed! getting yourself fit again! I don't know some people eh!Wink
But for us viewing Bill is a great shot of atmosphere and colour
and like the motion captured and a wow to the pier almost floating out and above from the horizon

LOL!
Thanks very much Liilian and Ann.

Must admit shooting was much more enjoyable than being tucked up with a box of Kleenex Grin

Great image! I like how the cloud and the incoming wave seem to mirror each other if you catch my drift.

Lovely looking image, Bill. Like the way the composition converges on the pier from all angles and the carefully planned symmetry.

Good composition, Bill, and the timing for the water on the slipway is spot on.
